Hello. I'm Prantik Bhattacharyya
I am a Senior Software Engineer at Reddit, Inc. Previously, I was a Lead Research Engineer at Lithium Technologies; joining the team through the acquisition of Klout. I have a PhD in Computer Science from University of California, Davis, advised by Prof. S. (Shyhtsun) Felix Wu. My work is in the areas of Big-data Analytics & ETL Pipelines, Data Collection & Serving Infrastructure, Social Network Analytics, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing.
I worked with World International Patent Organization (WIPO) as an independent consultant through Prof. Travis Lybbert of Agricultural and Resource Economics Department, UC Davis to develop software systems based on text processing and keyword extraction models to analyze trademark and economic data.
I also completed the Business Development Program for graduate students at University of California Entrepreneurship Academy in September 2010. I grew up in Kolkata, India and completed my bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University.
